Installation

CireilClaw is distributed as a self-contained Linux x64 executable from a verified release.

Requirements

A 64-bit Linux host is required.

The exec tool runs commands through a sandbox; the default Bubblewrap backend requires a working bwrap binary on the host.

Install

  1. Download the release archive and its accompanying .sha256 checksum for the version you are installing.
  2. Verify the checksum matches the archive.
  3. Unpack the archive; it contains cireilclaw-linux-x64/CireilClaw.
  4. Place the CireilClaw executable on the host path and create a cireilclaw symbolic link to it for the commands in this manual. Keep the actual executable named CireilClaw: the published updater checks that filename.
  5. Run cireilclaw --help to confirm the executable runs.

Initialize the runtime

Run cireilclaw init to create the runtime root plus its global config/ and agents/ directories.

Scaffold a first agent with cireilclaw init --agent my-agent; pass --provider, --api-base, and --model to control the generated provider configuration.

The default runtime root is ~/.cireilclaw; every command accepts --root <PATH> when the runtime should live elsewhere.

First run

Edit the generated agent configuration, then run cireilclaw dry-run to validate it without starting the host.

Start the runtime with cireilclaw or cireilclaw run.

Secrets

Do not place provider tokens, Discord tokens, or OAuth credentials in source control.
